What we believe

Our statement of faith

These are the truths we teach, pray and live by as a church family.

The Bible

The Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, true and trustworthy, and our guide for faith and life.

2 Timothy 3:16

One God in three Persons

There is one God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:19

Jesus Christ

Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven and will come again.

John 1:14 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

Salvation

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Everyone who repents and believes is forgiven and born again.

Ephesians 2:8–9 · Romans 10:9

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a Person of the Godhead. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and in His gifts for the church today.

Acts 1:8 · Acts 2:4 · 1 Corinthians 12

Healing and deliverance

Divine healing and deliverance are provided through the finished work of Christ.

Isaiah 53:5 · James 5:14–15

Holiness

God calls His people to live holy lives, set apart for Him, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

1 Peter 1:15–16

Baptism and the Lord's Supper

We practise water baptism by immersion for believers, and we share the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Him.

Matthew 28:19 · 1 Corinthians 11:23–26

The laying on of hands

We lay hands on the sick, for impartation and at the ordination of ministers.

Mark 16:18 · Acts 6:6

The return of Christ

Jesus Christ will return in glory, and believers will live with Him forever.

Acts 1:11 · 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
